London Fashion Week is always a fun time. This year marked Victoria Beckham‘s 10-year anniversary. She chose to show her collection in London, which was a first for her, as she historically shows in New York. London was also where Riccardo Tisci unveiled his first collection for Burberry, which many items were “see-now, buy-now”. Even with all of that said, the brands that made it onto our fashion pick list are neither VB or Burberry.

Here are our picks from LFW for spring-summer 2019.

Erdem

London-based Erdem founder Erdem Moralioglu showcased his ss19 collection at London’s National Portrait Gallery. What stood out for us were the looks that were unexpected, yet, beautifully done. One of the traits we appreciate most about Moralioglu is how his designs transcend age. We saw first-hand how women of all ages were able to wear and rock their favorite Erdem designs. We love that!

Toga

For ss19 collection, Toga‘s Yasuko Furuta brought us “Sport, Air, Scrunched”. We wanted to include these looks as they bring a bit of street style to the runway. Additionally, the biker shorts shown in this collection are gaining momentum, on and off of the streets. And, we are ready to take this trend on ourselves.

Julien Macdonald

Time to start party planning! Julien Macdonald‘s ss19 collection begs us to get dressed up and enjoy the night. We are drawn to the color palette, especially the berry red, and the play on lines – asymmetricity is calling. This is glamour.
