“I knew about Volcom when I was younger – my life has always been naturally surrounded by skateboarding and music. Even without thinking about it, I just always find myself attracted to the city, street culture and musicians,” shared Georgia May.

Stella McCartney x Parley for the Oceans
The organization, Parley for the Oceans, is something we have spoken about before. As a refresher, among its initiatives, it has created a yarn fiber that is made from plastic objects (fishing nets and other ocean debris). Now, Stella McCartney is planning to use it for some of her designs.
“To take something that is destructive and turn it into something that’s sexy and cool, how can that not be luxury?” McCartney shared to The New York Times. “Is a recycled plastic ever going to be something people think is a luxury? If they don’t notice it and if they feel that living on this planet longer is a luxury, then yes, to me that’s my idea of luxury.”
We should begin seeing this collaboration come to life in July.

Rapha’s Boston pop-up shop is open from now until early August. It’s located at 220 Newbury Street, in Boston’s Back Bay.
