Rapha Returns to Men’s WorldTour in 2019

Rapha was a fixture in the men’s WorldTour when it covered the backs of Team Sky, which included Chris Froome and Richie Porte. At the end of the 2016 season, Rapha and Team Sky parted ways after its four-year contract. Now, Rapha is staging its return, and this time it is in partnership with EF Pro Cycling.

“Together, we share a desire to disrupt the status quo of the sport we love,” stated Rapha. “Next year, we will create content that revolutionizes the way professional cycling is portrayed and presented and outfit the riders in the most technically advanced and striking racewear in the peloton.”

Rapha continued, “The team will flip the script on the calendar, with riders not just competing in the WorldTour but also fixed gear criteriums, ultra-endurance races and mixed-terrain events. They will go beyond the barriers, taking you to the outskirts of racing.”

The British brand also acknowledged it has not taken its return to the WorldTour lightly. In fact, they emphasized how for the last two years, they have conducted a study into the future of pro cycling, which included interviewing former UCI presidents and team and race owners.

Rapha highlighted how they are returning to the WorldTour to “become a stakeholder in change”.
