Magdalene Groves is an American model who hails from Texas. As she’ll soon share, modeling has offered her up a world of opportunities, which means her travels have brought her to many destinations – from beaches to New York City to South Africa.
Additionally, she has modeled for alice + olivia by Stacey Bendet, can be seen drinking raw juice and even enjoying The Hamptons. Check. Check. And, check!

MalenDyer: How did you get your start in modeling?
Magdalene Groves: I first started modeling after being scouted on the soccer field.
MD: If you weren’t a model, what would we find you doing?
MG: If I was not modeling, you could find me as an event planner, specifically weddings.
MD: Tea or coffee?
MG: I prefer tea over coffee, no sugar. Rooibos tea with honey is my favorite.
MD: Who is your current fashion brand crush?
MG: My fashion brand crush is Isabel Marant.
MD: Where is your favorite place you have visited?
MG: My favorite place I have visited so far would have to be Tokyo, Japan.
MD: How do you prepare for a long flight?
MG: Before a long flight, I drink even more water than usual and pack my favorite snacks, comfortable clothes, headphones, a sleeping mask and ear plugs.
MD: As you are often in New York City, what’s your favorite restaurant?
MG: My favorite restaurant in NYC is currently a small dumpling spot at 100 Mott Street.
MD: What does modeling offer you?
MG: Modeling offers me a lifestyle of travel. I have been able to live in different countries for as long as two months or as short as two days.
MD: Who inspires you? Why.
MG: My inspiration would be my family. They are hard working people who know how to love well and have fun.
MD: How do you like to spend your downtime?
MG: I spend my downtime with family and friends, most likely cooking dinner, lounging, seeing a movie, checking out small music venues, seeing a play or catching some stand up comedy.
MD: What would we find you reading or listening to right now?
MG: I am currently reading a memoir called, “Love, Life and Elephants,” and I listen to Ben Howard almost everyday.
