Collar has released their spring-summer 2018 swimwear and lingerie collection, “Illuminate”. The collection was inspired by David Hockney’s waterscapes. The brand shared more about this inspiration.
“[Our] SS18 collection is inspired by Hockney’s lucid waterscapes, the glimmering reflections of light and their patterns. It is a reflection of his strikingly expressive painting manner and fearless play with color.”

The Latvian-based brand continued, “Exploring light throughout its daily cycle, swimwear designs have adapted prints, created after the impressions of a particular time of day – sunrise, the zenith of the sun, sunset and moonlight. While lingerie pieces have borrowed the color mood of haze and wavering vapor atop the water’s surface. ‘Illuminate’ is a study of the seaside climate.”
For this campaign, Collar enlisted model Vinita Vilcane, along with photographer Julia Prohorenkova and with makeup by Lyn Weiscz and hair by Oksana Kirilenko.
