Body by Simone crossed our paths after we had seen the brand mentioned by some of our fav models, such as Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Chrissy Teigen.
Simone De La Rue is the founder of Body by Simone (BBS) and began her athletic career with training in classical ballet.
The mission of BBS is “To empower, inspire and encourage our clients to use exercise as a key to leading a healthy, happy and balanced life. By creating strong, powerful bodies inside and out, we reach the ultimate goal of achieving the desired dancer’s physique.”

Onsite classes are offered in New York City and Los Angeles and the brand also offers streaming classes.
There are four types of classes to choose from: Dance Cardio; Full Body; Hips, Thighs, Buns and Trampoline Cardio.
Full disclaimer – we haven’t tried Body by Simone (yet), and we will be sure to update you once we have. The below was pulled based off of what we have read and heard from others.
Remember, living the Otterlicious way is all about finding balance and what works for you.
Here’s what Chrissy had to say to The Coveteur, “[I’m really into] Body By Simone! She’s so wonderful.”
“She just really tailors everything for your body. I love that the cardio is kind of a secret in itself because I’m not a cardio girl, and I don’t even know that what I’m doing is cardio until I’m like, ‘Wait a second! We’re jumping rope? Okay.’ But, it’s never for that long. You get into the music, and it goes by so quickly. I find myself getting really excited to go, so that’s a big plus.”
Time to take a look at some moves, starting with planks – and not your standard planks…
Cardio time!
“Want to get your heart rate up quickly? Try simone’s explosive jump squat. Try 10 in 10 seconds making sure to use correct form and land knees over ankles!” – Body by Simone

We are a fan of resistance training – it’s amazing how much strength you can build just by leveraging your own body weight.
Here, it’s all about core and stability work…
And for some more abs…
“Lay on your back. Place the pilates ball between your ankles. Squeeze the ball to engage your adductors, lift your head up off the mat as you lower your legs towards the floor. Be sure to scoop your belly bringing your navel to spine. Crunch in bringing your knees to your chest as you kick back out. Repeat and then raise and lower legs to the floor. Build up to 3 sets of 10 reps.” – Body by Simone
We know this one is going to be a full body workout – we can feel the burn already – with focus on the legs too…
“Start in the perfect plank. Place one gliding disc under your left toe. Slide your leg under your body as you bend your knee and extend your leg across your midline to the diagonal and extend. Repeat the same motion back to your starting position. Start at 5 reps build to 20.” – Body by Simone
Do you think we can try this at home?
Now, this we could handle…
In case all of this seems daunting and you need some inspiration, we have just what you need…
