Opera Gallery London is holding an Ellen von Unwerth photography exhibit entitled, “Ladyland”. The collection of images is divided into three parts: Supermodels, Bavaria and Frivolities. It will include photos of Kate Moss to David Bowie to Claudia Schiffer to Naomi Campbell.
“We are proud to showcase the inspiring, provocative and pertinent work of Ellen von Unwerth in a solo exhibition at Opera Gallery London for the first time,” the gallery stated. “One of the most renowned and successful contemporary female photographers, von Unwerth honed her craft and built an immensely successful career in a largely male-dominated industry, gaining worldwide acclaim for her representation and empowerment of women as subjects rather than objects.”
The Opera Gallery continued, “[We] are immensely excited to welcome you to the wonders of ‘Ladyland’, to celebrate with us the inspiring work of this internationally significant photographer at a critical time of female awakening.”
Mark the dates on your calendar, as the exhibit is on show for a limited time. The exhibit runs from 4 May to 18 May 2018 at London’s Opera Gallery in Mayfair.
