Pirelli has officially announced the photographer of their 2019 Pirelli Calendar – Albert Watson. Although the calendar was shot in April, the Italian automotive company just began to officially release information about their 2019 calendar, beginning with the photographer.
“Albert Watson is a true contemporary master,” Pirelli shared. “His photography is one in which the concepts of reality, creativity and ingenuity are told with a sharp style and outstanding technical mastery. He loves talking about his pictures, saying his photographs may be graphic, purely conceptual or in motion. But, when they are fixed, they look like the frames of a film – part and synthesis of a story, but often succeed in being all this at once.”

We are certain we will receive more information before the calendar makes its full debut. Until then, we can only imagine where Watson will take this year’s calendar, and we cannot wait.
The 2018 Pirelli Calendar was photographed by Tim Walker and re-imagined Alice in Wonderland. The 2018 calendar featured Naomi Campbell, Lupita Nyong’o, Sean “Diddy” Combs and Ru Paul, among others.
