On Monday, Karlie Kloss made her Major League Baseball debut.
She threw the opening pitch at Busch Stadium, home of the Saint Louis Cardinals.
Otter Note: Karlie grew up in St. Louis, Missouri; she was born in Chicago, Illinois.
Karlie may not have seemed nervous as she threw that first pitch, but she confessed, “I have not been this nervous for ANYthing in YEARS!!!!! I am SO relieved my pitch made it across home plate!”
The entire Kloss fam was in on the adventure, supporting and helping her practice, with her dad in the clip and picture below.
Otterlicious!
In honor of Karlie, let’s do something that is very reminiscent of a day at the ballpark.
Grab a hot dog, some popcorn and whatever else you fancy and together…
Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd;
Just buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,
I don’t care if I never get back.
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don’t win, it’s a shame.
For it’s one, two, three strikes, you’re out,
At the old ball game.
Well done, Karlie!
