Los Angeles-based Julien’s Auctions will be holding the “Property from Collection of Bob Mackie” auction in mid-November. Bob Mackie was a fashion and costume designer, and he dressed Cher to Raquel Welch to Lauren Bacall. In turn, you can only imagine the amazing pieces going up for auction.
Let’s get straight to it. Up for auction will include Cher’s 1974 Academy Awards custom-made, hand-painted silk outfit. Welch’s figure-hugging, nude jersey gown embellished with topaz and white faceted glass she wore on the Cher Show will also be for sale.

As for Bacall fans, her black, custom-made dress she wore in the 1970 Broadway show “Applause” and to the 24th Annual Tony Awards will be going on the auction block.
