For this week’s Escape, we discussed where would our ideal vacation spot be. Of course, we threw around many sunny and warm destinations, but there was one standout.
Drawing inspiration from our last Escape, Into the Woods, we thought a nature-filled Escape was exactly what we needed.
And, for this week’s Escape, we are heading to Iceland.
Prepare yourself.
It’s going to be one breathtaking ride…
“I love to see a young girl go out and grab the world by the lapels. Life’s a bitch. You’ve got to go out and kick ass.” – Maya Angelou

“In Iceland, you can see the contours of the mountains wherever you go, and the swell of the hills, and always beyond that the horizon. And there’s this strange thing: you’re never sort of hidden; you always feel exposed in that landscape. But it makes it very beautiful as well.”
– Hannah Kent

“Maybe it’s just a personal thing, but I get so much grounding from Iceland because I know it’s always going to be there. I have a very happy, healthy relationship with the country, so it’s really easy to go everywhere because I always have Iceland to go back to.”
– Bjork
“And then, the sky started dancing…”
– Kristin Addis

Although we are feeling the chill in our own cities, we are sure ready to head to Iceland.
We just feel relaxed and rejuvenated.
Oh how we thought only the beach could do that.
Until next time…
