Carmen Dell’Orefice is the face of New You‘s spring issue and in one instant, it is apparent why she is still modeling.
Having posed for Salvador Dali at 13 and graced the front of Vogue at 15, we can say with certainty she has had one wild ride within the modeling industry.
“I had a very respectable career, but I didn’t have a specific look,” stated Dell’Orefice to NewYou, reported CNN.
“I was a chameleon.”
“Fortunately, there was always somebody who knew I was good when I showed up, was responsible, not temperamental, and could do the job well,” she continued.
“Today I am in a territory that business considers unmarketable: age and white hair. Slowly, however, I started to own that territory little by little because I stood up for age.”
Whatever she is doing, she’s doing it right, and we are happy New You has featured her on their cover. We are certain she’s an inspiration to many.
Just to prove our point, take a look at this shot of Carmen- we love it! She is so fierce, so stylish.
Here’s a video that offers additional insight into Carmen’s life and possibly what we can expect to hear more of during her interview with New You.
