Café du Cycliste is set to celebrate its one-year anniversary in London. The Nice-based cycling brand opened its first boutique in the UK last November and on our most recent trip to London, we stopped in to see it first-hand.
Tucked into Central London’s Spitalfields area, Café du Cycliste certainly brings a little Côte d’Azur to the city. Upon entering the shop, it is the small details, such as the soap from Provence, the traditional Provençal terracotta floor tiles, a rosé wine bottle and the pictures of the Côte d’Azur, that bring in the French touch. The enthusiasm for cycling is evident and is what helps to tie this French brand to its London home.
To take this passion for cycling beyond the walls of its boutique, Café du Cycliste has recently kicked off a group ride series, something it does at its French flagship in Nice’s Old Port. This winter, they will continue to have two rides per month.

We first experienced Café du Cycliste online. Then, when we were in Nice a couple of years back, we made sure to visit its Flagship store – not once, but twice. We appreciated how the brand offered apparel for men and women for cycling and beyond. In both of our Café du Cycliste boutique experiences, we also enjoyed speaking with the staff whose passion for cycling was evident.
Before we close, one more highlight of our London trip. Without giving too much away, we also got a sneak peek of some upcoming designs. Let’s just say, this brand is working to cement its place as being more than a cycling shop, as it is quickly becoming a destination for cycling enthusiasts and a haven for fashion lovers alike.
